Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC)
SPUC seeks to influence British thinking and law on the rights of the unborn child. SPUC encourages the defence of the unborn who are unable to speak up for themselves. The society aims to reassert the principle laid down in the United Nations 1959 Declaration of the Rights of the Child that the child "needs special safeguards and care, including appropriate legal protection, before as well as after birth."
Amongst the very few who have spoken up for the holocaust of over 6 million babies that have lost their lives in the UK since the Abortion Act of 1967 came into force. SPUC are ‘standing in the gap’.
